Why did you choose 'i-news'? Isn't the upstream name 'newsrssticker'?

I would go with the upstream name unless there is a name clash, which
it doesn't look like there is.

FWIW, I don't believe you need to file a new ITP, you can just change
the name and close the ITP of 'i-news'.
