KBReminder is a small KDE applet which reminds you of somebody's birthday
using the kab addressbook.

I'm currently not a maintainer. I have already done a package for this

This software seems to be abandonned by the upstream author, who doesn't
reply to my mails. Moreover, since I have done this ITP, I have
discovered calendar, which I found more pratical.
