* Package name : gcc-mingw-w64 Version : 4.5.1 Upstream Author : Free Software Foundation, Inc. * URL : http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/ * License : GPL 3, GFDL Programming Lang: C Description : The GNU Compiler Collection for MinGW-w64 MinGW-w64 provides a development and runtime environment for 32- and 64-bit Windows applications using the GNU Compiler Collection (gcc). . This package contains the GNU Compiler Collection, supporting cross-compiling to 32- and 64-bit MinGW-w64 targets. I'm thinking of packaging this in relation to http://bugs.debian.org/594371, my ITA for mingw-w64, because MinGW-w64 has an official set of triplets now so the existing gcc-mingw32 won't work. Since MinGW32 (now simply MinGW) is not MinGW-w64, it seems preferable to have a different set of packages. MinGW-w64 itself is useful in Debian notably because it will allow packaging newer versions of Wine. See also http://bugs.debian.org/602996, my ITP for binutils-mingw-w64. The package uses the existing gcc-4.5-source package (but see also http://bugs.debian.org/600502); the packaging work is available at http://git.debian.org/?p=collab-maint/gcc-mingw-w64.git -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
