Interesting. I realize you are not the upstream but do you happen to know if there's a tool for generating proper debian packages from these elisp repositories? Something similar to "dh-make-perl --cpan <cpan package>" would be really cool and would let me run lintian against the produced package.
I don't think something like that exists, but it might be not so hard to write since almost all extensions I know are just a couple of .el files.
