FreeSba is a free implementation of Atmel's SAM-ba(R) protocol, used as boot agent for Atmel AT91SAM microcontrollers. It is interfaces with SAM-ba(R) firmware in microcontrollers and allow SRAM and Flash programming, register visualization, etc. By now it supports only AT91SAM7 microcontrollers, using USB and TTY interfaces. The original name of this software can be changed to freesba to avoid conflicts with samba package and issues with the registered name, once Atmel already release a non-free software with the same aim.
