Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I am the upstream developer and maintainer of the GNU mcron package, and intend to create a Debian package for it.
The GNU package mcron (Mellor's cron) can be a 100% compatible replacement for Vixie cron (though the Debian package will not be configured this way, but as a stand-alone utility for users not requiring any root privileges). It is written in pure Guile, and allows configuration files to be written in scheme (as well as Vixie's original format) for infinite flexibility in specifying when jobs should be run. The package carries the GPLv3.
