No no. You have the proper version now.
The `p' suffix mean `Perl Version'.
(There was once upon a time a C language version, but that has been
retired now.)

You should not need a words list.
On UNIX systems, the words should be obtained from the local dictionary
file that is already installed.
Thus, you should make the package be dependent upon having a dictionary
file already installed. (I am not sure what other RPM that would be located
in.... Probably it is part of some spell-checker... maybe ispell, or maybe
some other spell checker.)
Note that the script looks for the words file in these two places:
/usr/dict/words
/usr/share/dict/words
On the RedHat 7.2 system I have here, /usr/share/dict/words is a symlink to
/usr/share/dict/linux.words
But I don't know how to easily find out which RPM that file came from. Do you?
