I am interested in helping to achieve this goal. I would concur with Ondřej that a distributed VCS (DVCS) is going to allow much easier collaboration with co-maintainers. The modern DVCS systems have far superior merging capabilities, and many other benefits besides. What is it about CVS or Subversion that you prefer? If it is the centralised, “checkout” work flow, I would recommend the Bazaar system. It is a DVCS that, unlike most, allows any participant to use a centralised VCS workflow, without requiring that anyone else do so. Bazaar is also often cited as a DVCS requiring the least change of mindset for a CVS or Subversion user. I would be willing to help you with learning Bazaar if you decide to go that route. -- \ “Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?” “Wuh, I think | `\ so, Brain, but will they let the Cranberry Duchess stay in the | _o__) Lincoln Bedroom?” —_Pinky and The Brain_ | Ben Finney <b...@benfinney.id.au>
