Excuse me for interloping again in this discussion, but, is there any chance to see 1.7.2 in Debian (I'm particularly concerned about squeeze)? I don't want to step over anybody's toes here (and if I am then please shut me off) but maintaining conky in Debian won't be an hassle for me. I've just moved my packages to 3.0, and the delta to Debian will be very small (mainly to include proper support to build on hurd and kfreebsd).
