I was simply not aware anyone was activily maintaining some of the
others already! It had also been a long time since I heard from Mat.
If there is anything I can specifically do to help make these packages
easier to maintain debs for, I would be happy to do so.
In regard to GNU Bayonne, it might make sense to also package the "vpb"
driver package. The voicetronix driver and api is available under the
GPL (well, LGPL in most recent releases). This would make it very easy
to take a Debian build, apt-get the VPB driver and Bayonne (and of
course the other dependent packages), and have a functional telephony
server. At some point the capi4linux work will also become more
standard and replace isdn4linux in the 2.5/2.6 kernel tree, and that
should also become a Bayonne dependency.
GNU Common C++ has, as a dependency, the GNOME xml library (libxml2) and
libz. GNU Bayonne on the other hand can have, as potential
dependencies, Python and perl 5.6. This is if one builds GNU Bayonne
with support for loading Python and Perl as resident interpreters (much
like what mod_perl is for apache). GNU Bayonne can also build a DSO for
tcl (although that is more common), and a sunrpc module, although I know
nobody making use of it. (I still need to add a DSO for guile...) This
is in addition to the depencendies on GNU Common C++, ccAudio, ccRTP,
and ccScript. This will make Bayonne a bit tricker to package than most
things.
Other potential Bayonne dependencies can include non-free telephony
drivers where explicit permission to link had been granted, but none of
these are part of Debian and all are optional builds, so these need not
be considered in a pure Debian system.
In addition to Bayonne itself, there is a newer package, BayonneDB,
which will offer transactional database services. It is not yet part of
GNU, but is under the GPL and will over time become a standard auxillory
package for use with Bayonne. BayonneDB sits between Bayonne realtime
services and non-realtime SQL systems. It has a plugin for Postgres,
and I would like to do one for mysql.
Finally, there is Apennine, which sits above Bayonne, BayonneDB, and the
rest of GNUCOMM. It offers XMLRPC services to these systems. There
will be some additional packages added soon...
I need to watch more closely what is happening over at Debian. Actually
I had thought about becoming a Debian developer myself for a long time,
but I simply have been involved in so many things that I did not think I
could give it the time or proper attention it would deserve. When I
have no versions/releases of packages, is there anywhere it would be
convenient to post announcements for these so that those maintaining
debs are aware?

One way to quicky update the config.xxx scripts and the other parts of
the configure script is to delete the old config.xxx and ltxxx from
libtools in the config directory and simply run the "./reconfig" command
I provide with each of my packages. This recopies from the local host
and rebuilds configure with the local automake/autoconf macros.
