i made a script too! :)) in these days i tested it, all of you saw how many bug retitle i issued, don't you? most of all those messages were computer generated.
it is here http://people.debian.org/~cavok/wnpputil i'm starting to think a couple of things: 1) some sort of tool(s) are required to help wnpp maintainers, requests start to be many and the work is very error prone 2) i suggest to modify bts so that if a retitle happens in for a wnpp bug and the new title is in the form of {ITA|ITP|WHATEVER} it writes not only "retitled ..." in the report of the bug but also "adopted, orphaned and the like". the mess i made (and solved) last week is due to me reading a little too quickly the bug reports, without digging in all the various and numerous retitling, reassignament etc etc. it is a fault of mine, i admit it is, but maybe ireports could be a little more "user-friendly" :)) of course if i'm correcting the title in behalf of someother (ie. the original ITP or RFA or whatever submitter) i should not figure as the original issuer... just few ideas i'm having.... cheers On Thu, Apr 05, 2001 at 11:57:08PM +0100, Martin Michlmayr wrote: > * tbm <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [20010405 22:08]: > > I have created a script which looks through the WNPP bug listing for > > common errors (wrong severities, wrong Subjects) and stuff.
