I am not the maintainer. I previously intended to adopt it because of the maintainer's inactivity. Last update was in 2004 [1] yet Lintian shows a number of warnings [2] that should be fixed. I have never heard from the maintainer or taken the time to actualy adopt the package. You are quite welcome to adopt and maintain it, as far as I'm concerned.
