Source: msc-generator
Version: 8.6.1-1
Severity: important

Dear maintainer,

Starting with version 8.6.1-1, msc-generator takes a lot of time to
build, except for arch:all and amd64 architectures.

This happens even on fast hardware, for instance it took 51h to build on
i386 (6 cores of an AMD EPYC 7702P processor), or 39h on ppc64el (8
cores of a POWER9 CPU). In both cases it is the longest build time for
all packages in the archive for these architecture. And it is still
building on some other architectures after almost 3 days...

By comparison the package only took 23 minutes to build on a somewhat
old Xeon E5-2699 v3 processor. Therefore something looks very fishy.
Could you please investigate?

Regards
Aurelien
