I lost the ability to read the hardware sensors via lmsensors a while ago, and I just started looking into it. I think it used to work with one of the 2.6.x kernels, but I can't be sure. The first thing I noted was that /proc/bus/i2c doesn't exist. I tried enabling all the debugging messages, and here is all I see:
May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1 May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard on isa0060/serio0 May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: i2c /dev entries driver May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: i2c-core: driver dev_driver registered. May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: i2c-core: driver it87 registered. May 1 07:01:15 faerun kernel: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.4rc2 (Tue Mar 30 08:19:30 2004 UTC). >From the documentation, I gather than if i2c-core does its thing, /proc/bus/i2c should exist. However, it's not there. Do you have any suggestions? Please Cc me on replies because I am not subscribed. Tom -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
