Hi, since some days ago, I've noticed that pts devices are not being reused. I mean, the usual behavior was: open a xterm, which gets e.g. pts/7, close it, open another one, which will get pts/7 again. Now it'd get pts/8, and then pts/9, and so on. Not that I care *that* much but I just prefer the old behavior, where pts get recycled.
Has anybody here heard of something similar? I've searched the archives and googled around but I couldn't find a thing. I'm using a stock Debian kernel image (kernel-image-2.6.4-1-686). $ mount | grep pts devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) TIA.
