It may be you dont need to install the file. Try typing "./yourbinfile" when you stand in the same directory as your file. Also try the command "file yourbinfile". I also suggest reading: http://linux-newbie.sunsite.dk/index.html and very useful: apt-get install newbiedoc after you have done that try dpkg -L newbiedoc |more to see what you can read.
