Most often, kernel "oopses" come from one of two things: hardware problems, or a kernel bug. I'm betting the former, especially given the ones you got. Install memtest86. Make it possible to boot memtest86 by modifying your grub menu or your lilo.conf (and running lilo), depending on whether you use grub or lilo. Then, boot memtest86 and run it overnight. -c -- Chris Metzler [EMAIL PROTECTED] (remove "snip-me." to email) "As a child I understood how to give; I have forgotten this grace since I have become civilized." - Chief Luther Standing Bear
