hey all. im running debian unstable on 2.6.0 i did an "apt-get update", "apt-get upgrade", and then an 'apt-get dist-upgrade', but i get a recurring error, when it comes to upgrading/installing libxft2-dev at dist-upgrade. the exact error message is:
"The following packages have unmet dependencies: libxft-dev: Depends: libxft2 (= 2.1.2-5) but 2.1.2-6 is installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f." has anyone had problems with this package? i noticed a bug online which had the same problem with earlier versions of libxft2. if anyone knows/can suggest a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated ... thanks ... p.s: i have tried apt-get -f install, and it throws up a lot of errors similar to this one: > dpkg-divert: rename involves overwriting `/usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h' with > different file `/usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft1.h', not allowed > dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libxft-dev_2.1.2-6_i386.deb (--unpack): > subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2 > Errors were encountered while processing: > /var/cache/apt/archives/libxft-dev_2.1.2-6_i386.deb > E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) rajesh at http://www.cs.nyu.edu/~prm225/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
