So what? RTFM and you would know that in the vast majority of cases you only need the first CD and a network connection. Yeah, installing over a modem sucks rocks, but I've done it several times. The trick is get it to where it's time to download packages just before you go do something time-consuming like head to work or go to sleep.
Kind of like installing gentoo, only faster!
