Since you're compiling your own koffice from source and installing it in
a separate prefix, you're possibly best asking on the koffice lists
(e.g., [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
I personally don't know about how to avoid the perils of installing KDE apps
in multiple prefixes (the debian packages all use the same --prefix=/usr).
