Sorry--I wasn't trying to say you were wrong to have an opinion about
the _software_.  My point simply was that unsupported software by
nature depends on who decides to undertake a certain task and their
approach, which has little feedback from others doing the same stuff
(i.e. what you'd find in a software house).  You get the best they can
offer, whatever that's worth.

My initial reaction to your post was that you were being critical of
the person(s) involved in the project as much as the app itself.  If I
was wrong about that, I apologize.  

In the case of gocr, it definitely has a ways to go.  No doubts about
that. But who else is doing it opensource, or can contribute to gocr?

Until it gets better (and I certainly hope it does), I'll have to go to
school to use our commercial stuff...  :(
