I'm using DVD+RW discs (and growisofs) for the most part, but I still have some DVD-RWs. I pulled them out from the stack to do some backups and lo & behold, I had to update my cdrecord-prodvd "key" in order to use them.
This disturbs me. What if Schilling gets hit by a bus? I wrote Mr. Schilling quite a while back and asked how I could purchase a "key-free" copy of cdrecord-prodvd and never got a reply. I prefer free software, but I was quite willing to give Schilling some cash... Now I'm not.
