I'm using Debian 2.2 and kernel 2.2.19 that came with it. I've installed xmcd and it works just fine but I get no sound. I installed alsa-base and added 'alias sound-slot-0 via82cxxx_audio' to /etc/modutils/aliases but I still get no sound. All I want to do is play a CD. What else do I need to do?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
