It seems that CONFIG_USB_SCANNER=m
which produces the "scanner" module, has disappeared from kernel 2.6.3. I copied my working 2.6.2 config, passed it thru make gconfig without any manual changes, and now "grep -i scanner .config" returns nothing. Any idea (tips, URLs) how to get scanners working in 2.6.3? I have yet to install this kernel, so I don't if my scanner will automagically work out of the box.
