Debian in its present form is very beginner unfriendly. That may change a bit with the new installer when it is ready.




That's a good news. In any case, I would like to see Debian-Newbie email list.


However, Debian is not meant to be installed by beginners. And your
friend should damn well know that.





You can install Morphix what is a Debian distro easy to install ( you can see the wiki with a lot of information from/to beginners )
