I don't think that this is all microsoft's fault. I think that much of
this has to do with how people run their computers. If people didn't
run their windows boxes as the administrator user all the time (and
installing spyware/malware ridden software like kazaa) they wouldn't get
into half these problems. (Maybe with previous versions of windows they
had no choice, but they do now).

I don't like Microsoft because they make proprietary software, not
because their proprietary software isn't good enough. For most people
in most situations it's good enough. If you don't believe me look around.
