Hi everyone, I am having a little problem with my Debian Woody. The other day when I tried to boot into Woody, it started the normal text bootup screen before it goes into to KDE graphical login screen. But, during the text portion of the boot up process, it stopped and gave this message:
VFS: Cannot open root device "346" or 03:47. Please append a correct "root=" boot option. Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:46. What does all of this mean, what is going on and what can I do to correct this? I am lost at this point. Thank you all for any help you can give me. Have a great day! James E.
