I haven't tried another Firefox fork. I'm using chromium with no crashes
— so far. But it doesn't respect the KDE "window behavior" settings,
such as "double click" in the title bar to "shade" — roll up like an
old-fashioned window shade — or right-click bringing up a menu so I can
move the window to a different work space. I liked Firefox better,
except for the part about it (apparently) crashing my system a few times
every day.
Do Midori and LibreWolf work like Firefox, are are they simply more
browsers that work superficially similarly?

I am unfamiliar with the functionality that you describe.
Two things that I dislike about both Midori and LibreWolf, are
1. I cannot get a titlebar, and
2. Any addons/plugins/extensions that are installed, are not visible to
invoke,
but, other than those two shortcomings, Midori and LibreWolf seem to
work okay.
As you want functionality with which, I am unfamiliar, I suggest that
you install each of them, and, try them - if you do not like them
sufficiently, you can either uninstall them, or, simply not use them,
but, unless and until you install and try them, you will not know
whether they suit your desires.
Similarly, with SeaMonkey.
