Are all of my bookmarks stored in .mozilla? Can I back them up?

I assume that if renaming .mozilla to .mozilla.crashes results in not
observing any crashes for a while, and concluding that might be the
cause, putting it back would probably cause crashes. In fact, running
the two-way experiment several times might be more convincing than not
seeing a crash for a day or two.
