There are a couple of Debian bug reports, one over a year old with no progress. I am wondering: what can I do to help get these bugs fixed?
Report numbers: #1068722 and #111100. Both basically the same: there is a shared library mismatch between various parts of the Android platform libraries and tools. The aapt2 tool (fatally) crashes with an undefined symbol. This *should* be an easy fix -- eg syncing the library versions. *I* tried rebuilding one of the packages, but the build fails. I am on a Raspberry Pi5 running Raspberry OS (Debian 12.5 -- bookworm). I need to find a *working* version of aapt2 for my machine. Android Studio only includes AMD64 (x86_64) binaries, which of course won't work on a ARM64 machine. -- Robert Heller -- Cell: 413-658-7953 GV: 978-633-5364 Deepwoods Software -- Custom Software Services http://www.deepsoft.com/ -- Linux Administration Services [email protected] -- Webhosting Services
