Read manuals, perhaps that editors have some close features. At least Vim and Emacs allows to accumulate text when you cut or copy fragments. In addition they have multiple registers to access different snippets.

Either use Firefox or try to find a browser extension (the real issue with add-ons is that you need to trust to their developers).
Unfortunately the feature is not universal, it is necessary to evaluate for each application if multi-range selection is supported.
