Often during boot, not always though, and never after KDE Plasma already began to start, I observe a kernel panic. The system is Debian stable "bookworm", but using kernel 6.12.12 from backports. I know, this is not the officially recommended way to use Debian stable. But as this backported kernel will soon run stable Trixie, I think it wouldn't harm to anyway provide a bug report.

Concerning a bug report,
how to activate the proper log file, and where to find it then?
I assume the best would be to have the log file collecting the necessary data about several boots, as I sometimes need several attempts to reach to a running system and the kernel panic screens vary a little bit in their output. So, it would be good to accumulate several boot attempts in the log and not only the last one. Which options should be set to the log command, so that the information is as complete as necessary for being helpful? If there is also an option to only log the startup procedure, but to not clutter the log file with later entries not related to the buggy boot anymore, then this would for sure be good to apply. In other words, could someone provide me the complete log activation command which I should use?

Finally, where to place the bug report?
Thanks for your valuable time and help!
Marco
