Hi, About the desktops, 1) check what NIC its using: netgear normally has linux drivers available
2) soundcard : which make is it? 3) Intel : which model? 4) Nvidia Quadro 4: might be available ( check their site nvidia.com). They make good drivers for Linux. just have to check if the model is already supported in the available driver version. instructions are provided too. 5) cd/dvd combo- havent used 6) flat panel not tried About the laptops: you might want to check debian-laptop mailing list and also tuxmobil site (use search engine) - this site is a good resource NIC: depends on make video : is it onboard? soundcard: depends on model cdrw/dvd combo: not tried it tft : not tried trackpoint: not tried ( U may want to check IBM site and see if they have anythin on Linux) 56k modem (if its a winmodem where hardware functionality is reoplicated by software partially, it might be a problem. ) wireless- sorry not tried it.
