802.11a and 802.11b are from the 1990's and early 2000's. You should have that disabled on your Wifi networks nowadays. They usually interfere with current standards, like 802.11ac (Wifi5) and 802.11ax (Wifi6). I think you are looking for an outlet timer, <https://www.google.com/search?q=outlet+timer> or smart outlet plug, <https://www.google.com/search?q=smart+outlet+plug>. The smart ones allow you to control the outlet from a phone or tablet. Jeff
