I replaced the display in my aging Thinkpad T410 last month. It runs Debian 12 with GNOME and Wayland very well so no need to throw it away. Years back I upgraded it to 8 GB of RAM and an SSD. Repair parts are rather easily found for Lenovo laptops. I've been using Debian on one Thinkpad model or another for over 25 years. > Note that Trixie is around the corner I also have an older Thinkpad X1 Carbon, Generation 3 that I'm running Trixie on as well as Arch as the mood strikes.
