If it's the same architecture, you'll have a fighting chance. Things to look out for are X drivers for the wrong video card, things bound to network cards based on MAC addresses, that kind of stuff. Most probably you won't break anything -- but doing a backup is a good idea anyway, if you hold your data dear. Cheers & happy hacking -- t
