Hi,

Just a warning. Thunderbird-128.4.0 have arrived to bookworm

https://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce/2024/msg00217.html
[DSA 5803-1] thunderbird security update
Support for the
115.x series has ended, so starting with this update we're now
following the 128.x series.

However there are issues for IMAP folder cache
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1890230
"[Bug 1890230] [meta] folder corruption tracker for thunderbird 122+ - If you add a comment, please state which version you have used. - Please test the most recent 128.x version"

The discussion is still active and some fixes landed in 128.4.2, others should be already available in 128.4.0.

I have not faced it yet, so I have no experience to which degree it is severe. (It happened so that I am subscribed to this bug due to another one: NNTP offline cache corruption in v115.)

So be prepared to re-downloading cached messages. I have no recommendations how to mitigate the issue.
