This is an installation image (the first of a whole set). What you want is a live iso such as for example: debian-live-12.6.0-i386-xfce.iso unfortunately, i could only dig up https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/latest-oldstable-live/i386/iso-hybrid/debian-live-11.10.0-i386-xfce.iso, which is already somewhat outdated. Donno where the i386 ones are, apart from: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current/i386/iso-cd/debian-12.6.0-i386-netinst.iso which also is not a live image.
