Hi Looking for hints here. My debian/samba server won't allow my XP workstation access to its printers. File browsing is fine, but if i look at the printer queue shared through samba from XP, XP tells me "Access denied, unable to connect".
My smb.conf is below, surely I'm missing something very simple? any hints? please? ------------------------------- [global] workgroup = VALHALLA server string = Odin - %v - Samba 3.0.1-Debian interfaces = eth0 encrypt passwords = yes null passwords = Yes password level = 7 username level = 7 log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 50 name resolve order = wins host bcast lmhosts time server = Yes printcap name = cups os level = 64 preferred master = Yes domain master = Yes dns proxy = No wins support = Yes printing = cups guest account = guest [homes] comment = Home Directories read only = No browseable = No [printers] comment = All Printers path = /tmp # Permissions here are: drwxrwxrwt guest ok = Yes printable = Yes browseable = No public = yes --------------------------- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
