(understand this can be used) Software (select menu icon in top right of 'Software' window) Update Preferences Automatic Update (set to off) or https://blogs.gnome.org/kalev/2014/09/24/whats-new-in-gnome-software-3-14/ It’s now possible to disable the background update checks altogether through a hidden setting: ‘gsettings set org.gnome.software download-updates false’ $ gsettings set org.gnome.software download-updates false I hope the above work, I have not used these so as to know if they do or not?
