In woody 3.0r1 from CD's: apt-get install aumix and aumix fails with unresolved gpm symbol.
Downloading the aumix-2.8 tarball and installing it works providing you configure with:
./configure --without-gpm --without-gtk
and enables me to use aumix in an vc.
