After only a few botched attempts I managed to convert my RedHat server to
Debian...remotely. Much thanks to Karsten and Azhrarn for their helpful
emails (and their original HOWTOs).
My install notes are at:

I may convert them to plain English at some point, but if I do I will put
the new URL into the txt files.
Note: this process does not use debootstrap! Thanks to Karsten's how to
for hints on how to get through this part of the install.
