Or, should that fail, get your install media, boot in rescue mode, let that mount your disks (it conveniently offers to do so), edit /etc/passwd (your root file system is probably mounted under /target, so it will be /target/etc/passwd). Not trivial, but not exceedingly hard either. Cheers -- t
