If you install with the .iso with firmware - which will be the default in Debian 12 Bookworm, then the install process should go through fine. If you *don't* install a desktop, then you may not have the scripts needed to bring up a WiFi connection though you will have the firmware and the device will show up in dmesg. In this situation - where, say, I have installed only "standard" and no desktop - I install Network Manager before rebooting and then use nmtui or nmcli to configure the WiFi connection. If you *do* install a full desktop, then GNOME, KDE etc. generally have configuration scripts under Settings or similar. Hope this helps - with every good wish, as ever, Andy Cater
