If I read the docs reject_invalid_hostname and reject_non_fqdn_hostname are for postfix version < 2.3. Now its reject_non_fqdn_helo_hostname and reject_invalid_helo_hostname to put on smtpd_helo_restrictions. You have an old debian ?
