a2ps dates back from when PDF was a crappy format where you either had to use proprietary Acrobat Reader or Libre readers unable to show most files properly. I mean, its web page has the HTML tags in all caps and no CSS, and the download link is FTP. Again, a command-line front-end for Pango + Cairo would do the job excellently, and be able to produce PNG, SVG and much more. Regards, -- Nicolas George
