Quite. I habitually alias ls to 'ls -lhrt', (and cdls() { cd "$@" && ls
-lhrt; }; alias cd=cdls) so I'm very used to only looking at the bottom
of a long list of size-sorted-ascending. But I think it's a matter of
taste.
