"Afterward, simply exit from this terminal." None of these changes are permanent. An even simpler set of instructions would be: 1) Open a new terminal, or run a new instance of your shell. 2) export LC_ALL=C 3) Run your comands. Paste the commands and their results into the body of your email. 4) Exit from this shell/terminal.
