They don't make source available for their changes. - They also fail to make build tools available for their deployed software. As a user of their products, there are some things that you can't rebuild yourself. - They don't update quickly. The current stable release of Debian is Bullseye, version 11. It has been stable since mid-August of last year. You don't get the benefit of security improvements Debian has made, and you don't get to extend the useful lifetime of your machines once Ubiquitu stops supporting them. Overall, Ubiquiti's use of Debian is not to their users' benefit, and that's Ubiquiti's fault. -dsr-
