It sounds like it should be either a request for better documentation on configuring retries over a long time period from the haproxy documentation or a bug with wishlist severity if haproxy currently cannot handle such a long time to wait for the address to be configured by the upstream router. It also seems to be a ridiculously long time (ten minutes) for your provider to configure your interface. I would look for a different provider if they can't or won't fix it. Chuck
